Cadet training Įarly during the Clone Wars, in 22 BBY, Havoc was stationed on Kamino alongside Colt, Blitz, and the other ARC trooper, who oversaw the training of clone cadets. Havoc participated in the pan- galactic Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance, serving in Republic's Rancor Battalion alongside Clone ARC Commanders Colt, Blitz, and another ARC trooper. Īs an ARC trooper, Havoc was trained in the ARC program, and received experimental clone trooper armor. He eventually came to obtain the military rank of Clone ARC Commander. During his service, Havoc proved himself as a soldier and was rewarded with a promotion to become an Advanced Recon Commando, or ARC trooper. Then when blue whoops them, they will be attacked first next game.Grown on the planet Kamino from the DNA of Jango Fett, a bounty hunter who became the template of the Kaminoan clone trooper army, the clone who became nicknamed "Havoc" served as a clone trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic. The robot player might attack the humans more often in equal situations if they feel they are strongest faction, giving the blue alien team some player "balance". But it becomes part of the games eco-system with your players. Lots of variables, so even if you outnumber them 8-4, you have to put lots of thought into what they can do.įrom a balance perspective, some seem weaker than others. Agonizing where to put your men was depending on if you needed the territory or just need to win the fight. That being said, the combat mechanic was very unique and interesting. People buy them back almost instantly if they are captured in rounds 1-3. I also wish prisoners played more of a role. It always ends just as you seem to get your deck or army going. Makes you feel like you dont make very many decisions throughout the whole game. 3 Actions a round with 5 rounds (15 total). My main gripe with the game is you get so few turns. I'm assuming you are asking for sci-fi war games and not general sci-fi themed games. It is a co-op game where you play a specialised military unit trying to defend the earth against an alien invasion. It seemed strong at first, but by the second game, I saw how it also has some limitations I did not noticed in my first game.Īs for other sci-fi games of a similar genre, I like Galaxy Defenders. It makes sense considering how that 4th faction is so different. One is very different and will likely have varying results when played by a group of novices than more seasoned players from what I have heard. I don't think I played enough to give a knowledgeable opinion about them. You will need to play it more to get a good feel. There are varying opinions of how well these are balanced.

The 4th faction can only be taken by a player in a 4-player game. It makes fighting against one enemy different than another. The game as 4 different factions and each have different abilities. There is hidden information as players are allowed to play combat cards that affect the final outcome of the combat. Often, you will accomplish one objective and your opponent may accomplish a different one. One objective is just to kill enemy unit.

In each combat, each player allocates units he has in the battle to as many or few of the 3 objectives as he wants. CH has a very interesting combat mechanic. You have to attack other players to take control of their territory. There are multiple scoring round throughout the course of the game and after the final scoring round, you tally everything up and whoever has the most points win.Ĭombat is a significant part of Cry Havoc. You will be contesting areas with other players, so combat is involved. You want to control areas that are worth victory points when the scoring round happens.

The second time, I made sure I didn't screw up early and did better.Ĭry Havoc is not really a war game. The first time I screwed up early and couldn't get back into things.
